Cigars Can Go Green Too

Humidors are like a box of chocolates…you never know what you’re gonna get. From big to small, traditional straight shaped (parejo) to figurados (pyramids, torpedoes, perfectos.), green to brown, the characteristics of premium cigar are all over the spectrum. With so much variety, choosing your ideal cigar can be difficult, especially if it’s not something that you partake in often. What’s easy is you yourself getting lost in the midst of that variety. But there is one particular cigar that tends to stand out among the rest due to its different look and distinctive color…the Double Claro, aka Candela, aka green cigars.

These green (literally) cigars are unique in the way they are harvested, cured, fermented and enjoyed. In Tennessee Craft Beer Magazine’s Summer Issue 2017 we discuss the unique cigar that is the Double Claro, specifically the La Flor Dominicana (LFD) Double Claro.
