Best known and respected for supplying the largest and most well-known cigar companies with premium tobacco for decades, the Plasencia family is making another attempt at having their name mentioned specifically for cigar making.
I know and have seen firsthand the skill and care in which the Plasencia family grows, ferments and ages their tobacco. On a personal tour with family patriarch Don Nestor Plasencia back in 2014 (check that out HERE), I walked through fields of the most beautiful and pristine tobacco plants you’d ever see. So when I learned that they would produce new cigars, I knew (even if they didn’t take over the world) that they would be of the utmost quality.
|Vitola:||6 x 60, Hexágono (Hexagon)|
|Purchased From:||Casa de Montecristo, Nashville|
|Notes:||This eye-catching cigar is large and unique. With a dark, shiny and toothy wrapper, the six-sided (hexagon) box-press makes the 60 ring gauge cigar seem smaller and more manageable than others its size. The Alma Fuerte offers notes of syrupy, honey sweetness, ginger spice on retrohale and enough kick to make it very memorable. Let me also add that the burn was surprisingly flawless considering the cigar has 6 actual corners!|
